Descriptive text...Pugwis ( Man of the Sea)  is a Kwakwaka'wakw undersea spirit in human form.  Pugwis is depicted with a fish-like face, round eyes in well-defined round sockets, gills, prominent, rounded contours on the face; and two large, beaver-like front teeth, Sometimes Loon sits on top of his head.

LOON is associated with copper and wealth.  Although not a prominent being, Loon features significantly in the art and mythology.  Loon is famous for its unique and often haunting voice, and is respected for its knowledge of various realms.

Carved from red cedar with acrylic paint and varathane -  abalone inlaid - dressed with natural and dyed cedar - all Canadian products -
